Went home, mowed the grass, ate lunch, put up shelves, watched a bit of FA Cup, then could stand it no more and drove half hour to beach again. Second session at Hove from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Got the best of the wind on a 5m, before it eased off a bit at the end. The high water splodginess was over as I arrived, with the iron railings showing on top of Dead Man's Point. Once again, carving in close on the down wind side of the groyne there was a bit of a wedge wave being squeezed against the concrete. Had a few connected rides on the waist high swell and it got better as the tide eased out again. Only 2or 3 of us out.
